Commercial HVAC Service Technician

We are looking for experienced commercial HVAC Service Technicians for the Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg & Carlisle areas who are looking for an exciting new career with an industry leader that’s been in the business for over 100 years.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE JOB:

  • Operating knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair/replace and maintain various commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including roof top units, mini-split systems, package units and other systems as needed
  • Ability to read, understand, and work from schematics, blueprints and cut sheets
  • Knowledge of various piping systems with ability to cut, solder and braze
  • Knowledge and ability to work with live voltages, up to 600 volts
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA guidelines, safety data sheets and lock out/tag out procedures
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain and recommend appropriate repairs and upgrades to our customers
  • Basic computer skills for tablet and cell phone communication and documentation
  • Ability to provide your own basic hand tools

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Trade school, technical/vocational school, military, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 3-5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Minimum of EPA 608 Class I & II certification with Universal certification required within 90 days
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Successful criminal background and drug screenings

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee-owner to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee-owner is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee-owner is required to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, squat, crawl; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment, tools, products, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee-owner is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, and confined spaces. The employee-owner is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The employee-owner is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
